There are two approaches to the assessment of Spatial Resolution, and to quality control in general.
The first of these is the Subjective. This entails the visual assessment of a test object.
The test objects contain repeating patterns of an increasing spatial frequency.
CATPHAN (Al in H20; 1-20 lp/cm in 1 lp/cm steps),
ImPACT Air Hole Phantom (Air holes in H20 equivalent; 3.1 - 12.5 lp/cm in 0.83 lp/cm steps)
IGE QA Phantom (Perspex (PMMA) in H20; 3.13-10 lp/cm in 5 non-integer steps).
